Fairly certain there will be a standalone Roses gig in Bonnie Scotland.

Keep the faith it will happen along with Ireland no doubts.

Way too much love for the guys not for this to happen.

hope you are right m8,there is a free weekend before t in the park anyway,so heres hoping that will be filled with a couple of gigs,it doesnt make sense if they dont play their own gig up here,t in the park dont let you know what day the headliners are on until after the new year,so you would have to buy weekend tickets when they go on sale ( if you can get them )i just cant imagine standing next too people who are not interested in the roses..most peopler at t in the park now are just wee neds who are not even interested in the music, its changed, thats why i dont go anymore.

I have always fancied going to the Benicassim festival after ending up there a week after the festival finished about 10 years ago on a small back pack around Spain.

Not the most attractive town, but the beach is amazing... maybe next year is the time to do it...

I reckon any stand alone gigs will follow the festival season, i doubt they'll try and squeeze them in inbetween. Theres also the world tour they spoke of as well. It might be that they do some international dates on the way back from the Fuji Rock festival then round it off with some U.K. venue gigs in the run up to Christmas. Thats what im hoping for anyway.

It probably will end up as an outdoor event, just wouldn't have minded seeing them in a smaller venue, and not the secc. Smaller than that, doubt it'll happen but you never know.

thats exactly what i have been saying, the place is full of children, most are there for the booze up and not the bands these days, has to be a huge outdoor gig up here also..

glasgow green would be my favourite,i was there at the first one,but this time it would be minus the tent i would think, loch lomond also,i doubt it will be a stadium tho,but it has to be outdoor,to much demand for the lads up here,it would be the same as heaton park..

You know it makes sense Dave. Can't see it being a stadium gig up here so reckon either big tent or Loch Lomond. Indoor venues such as barrow lands would be way too small for the demand.

the first band annonced for t in the park usually gets the sunday night spot,so heres hoping for a huge outdoor gig on the saturday,or would that ruin the saturday for t in the park maybe late july or august..

T in the park and oxygen in Ireland share the same lineup, on alternate days. Imagine it will be announced shortly too.

I'm in 2 minds about which to go to ? TITP is now shite, I went from 96-2007 religiously, never missed a day. Now it's my idea of a nightmare, full of wasted kids, stabbings, thefts, sure I heard of a rape last year. It's time has passed for me.

Hopefully get the proper tour announcement soon, then we can start planning our travels.
