Tribute Band needs an "Ian"

I play in a Stone Roses tribute band based in the West Midlands (Walsall-ish).

Our frontman has decided to hang up his 'dollar bill t-shirt' so we are in need of a new one.

We've got gigs waiting, but won't rush our new man into anything until everyone is happy and we're good to go..

Attitude towards getting it right is a must, but experience, gear, being an actual living legend is not a necessity at this stage....

I'm from very close to Walsall. I'm not putting my name forward as, even for an Ian Brown, I'm an appalling singer.
Just wondering what you're called and what local gigs you got coming up and I'll come and watch?

Hey Ferkh, you really don't need to be a great singer !!

We've got some gigs lined up in July & August around Walsall, Wolverhampton, Cannock & Birmingham but these are 'on hold' at the minute while we sort out our new frontman (come on... you know you want to!!!)

I'll post details on here once they're confirmed.

By the way, if you know anyone who might fit the bill for us, let me know!

Ha ha, sorry no chance. Post up dates when you firm them up, I'll come & watch with some mates in Walsall.

Have you got an Ian Brown wig for the part? ( serious question ).

I was once part of an Ian Brown/Roses tribute act in 2011 ( For.Each.A.Rose ) but 6 years on, my hair has done an Elvis and left the building. I've got loads of Bape coats and those jeans that hang down your arse.

We don't have a wig at the minute because our original singer had quite a convincing mop himself..

We'll pick up a suitable wig if needed..

My hair is also a nice shade of 'eggshell blonde' these days, but as I'm "Reni" I get to wear a hat.

Whereabouts are you based?

Absolutely my friend!

There is no reason why our new Ian couldn't be a girl!

Hehe... congratulations on finding the two towns as far as possible from us!!

Out of interest, how did the solo material go down with a tribute crowd? We have considered doing a short set of Ian Brown material and appear as our own support band

Not compulsory.... and neither is announcing "the drummer's a c****"

Although either is ok if the time is right!
