Ian Brown's current record contract

I was just thinking about what IB might get up to in the next couple of years, will he take a long deserved break from recording/touring, will he write for others or might there be one or two collaborations. Anybody have any thoughts/opinions on this at all? I seem to recall that his current contract with Fiction is coming to an end, not sure if there is one record left or if it has finished.
Hopefully there will be new album in the next couple of years, I thought My Way was his best yet and his show at WHP was superb.

Mostly all mentions of Ian's contract come from speculation borne from someone who knows someone's brother's mate who once spoke to someone who used to work for Universal. I think I remember Ian mentioning it once, maybe even twice in all the time I've been involved - and it's not beyond the realms of imagination for Ian to throw in a curve-ball from time to time, trust me. Ian is such an established artist and a Fiction heavyweight who manages himself - I doubt contract restrictions have much bearing on anything an artist like Ian is planning to do in the future.

Contract or no contract - I think the poor man could do with a bloody good well earned rest.
The last few years have been immense and as a fan I appreciate everything that Mr Brown does for us

I'm not to fussed about his current contract or what he plans to do next - what will be - will be.

I wonder if in a parallel universe, someone is pondering over my non existent contract at work. I very much doubt it,and thank fuck if they ain't. Other peoples business is there own!

I'd like to think he will be working on another album.

Maybe he could team up with Tracey Thorne and write some cosmic space ballads in a studio on the moon.

Dont worry Peachy, my attempt at humour was a)shit and b) really shit.
(Panache was perfume accompanied by a cheesy advert in the eighties)

Any further word on this subject and whether he's working on new stuff? Fiction stilll list him as a current artist with them but his contract expired with My Way (according to reports in 2005 Guardian which confirmed he had a contract at that point for two more albums).

Typically has an album out every 2 or 3 years so wait and see I guess.

He appaeared on Dynamos tv show recently and was in the studio with 30 tunes he was (i believe) about to start working on so I guess, whenever it may be, a new album is on the way.

if he was to stop tomorrow at least he's left us with a load of tunes, more than I ever dreamed. But I wouldn't say no to more I.B.
