IB Solo Bus On The Road

Meant to post on tuesday after Roses gig, but was too elated it took me ages to come down. Anyway after most immense gig i met Inder outside the venue and he told me that Ian's solo bus will be back on the road next year. Heres hoping because as much as i love the Roses i miss Ian's solo stuff just as much

Hope he drops the roses stuff completely from his set and we can just listen to the classics. Might get rid of some of the coked up liggers too!

That'd be (sweet) fantastic

After the wasted years between Roses output Ian developed a great work ethic and we became blessed with an album and regular touring every two years or so. The wait since the last output in Sept 2009 for new tunes has been pretty frustrating.

So are we going to get new roses stuff before this happens or is this the end?

I think it's end of road I'd they stop now. A good single, followed by a cracking single.

I have missed Ian solo stuff but they've missed true greatness once again. The latest single shows what's been possible the last five years, two songs, what a wasted opportunity

I'm not in any way dissimg the live gigs, seen them all over uk and Ireland, loved it, but it was Ian that said this is not a trip down memory lane which is exactly what it has been until five years into it we get two,songs..then it's to stop...

I see this thread has migrated to the Dont Stop Forum and been blown out of all proportion. Inder never said that IB solo meant the end of the Roses trip and it's also possible he was just saying it to keep a fan happy. I should have led with Inder confirms no Roses album and all of them hate each other.

I think it was probably a one-off (for now...). A take on one of the Solarized logos used, but with Own Brain again.

Hope Ian gets both in the studio and on the road as soon as possible.

Always an experience whatever he does.

The Roses stuff has been ace this past 5yrs or so…….. and I feel a little spoilt with all the life experiences, travels & gigs that I’ve attended – made some memories for life, places I’ll never see again, cracked my flying phobia and friendships further bonded over shoulder shaking……….

I'd be happy for Ian to get in that Lay-by and get back on the solo circuit, Ian's music is a bit more mellow for my liking, bit less guitars, and more personal. With a back catalogue and hopefully a new album the set list will be immense, I’d like to see 1 or 2 Roses tunes but could manage with an all solo set list

As much as I love the Roses, as I have got older and had the enjoyment of multiple IB gigs I have came to realise that Ian comes first above any artist or band. So I look forward to the album and shows and meeting all you fine folk and being able to actually afford a few rounds now that I make a few quid
