Yeah, great thread that. people getting to meet their musical hero and listen to his new lp at the same time. Don't get much better than that. You must have all be very excited the night before, lucky sods, people dream of meeting him.

I know pal, only knobbin about mate, sod law that I was invited and got back off holiday on the actual day to discover the email. a good few of my pals got to go and it was incredible apparently. I still hate the fuckers though.

I put my War of the Worlds vinyl on today, the one with Richard Burton narrating, anyway, it took me back to some old memories of playing it on my dads armstrad record player and a summer period where the needle nearly wore the vinyl out.

Anyway - right after that I thought about this listening party and wondered if we'll ever get the opportunity to do this again........ but would be magical if it was a once in a lifetime experience.

Whilst I had my player assembled I then listened to Solarized and Golden.........

It's been a magical and emotional evening.
