Still no word on this, it won't be The Roses but I reckon Glasto should leave it unannounced, just have a band/artist walk on on the Sunday night. Some secret that would be to keep eh?

Wouldn't be that bothered if they were or not, but very bothered as it would point to new tunes/a tour just around the corner.

1st June I read. Roses still bookies favourites. Would imagine the betting on this kind of market would be fairly minimal.

That almost implies they weren't planning for it doesn't it?

Ah, there's life in the rumour mill yet, praise the Lord.

I don't follow the who enough to know but would suspect it's a last minute change of plans.. I don't think they stepped in to cover the roses although I know some will.

I heard they've had to step in because The Roses were confirmed but John has choked on his own beard, Ian won't come out of a chippy on Wilbraham Road until he gets a free bag of chips and Reni is ill. (Obviously)

All true.
And let's not forget Mani, who's too busy making the new album which will be out in 2016/2017/2525 (delete as appropriate/time goes by).

I heard it was the jam transported from 1978 not Paul Weller

Can picture Ian, John and Reni walking on stage all looking like Grizzly Adams.

It will be like the scene in O Brother Where Art Thou when George Clooney and the Soggy Bottom Boys have the fake beards and keep pulling them down during the song.

Only when Mani comes on will the crowd realise that it's the Roses.

Lol.
Ian's clean shaven right now.
John's looks like there could possibly be a family of Hobbits living in there.

So Kanye last night - thoughts?

Personally thought he nailed it - although can understand if people not into him or his genre of music they may think otherwise.

No hiding place for him on the no frills stage and no big name special guests either.

Thought he was awful. Liked Weller's performance, shame most of the crowd were only interested in the Jam tunes as some of his solo stuff is great.

Anybody see Leftfields performance? Their new long player is superb. The Sleaford Mods guy guested on his track that he performed on the album.
A welcome return from them ( well, him as there's only one of him now!)

It's on iPlayer. I think you'll love it.

I thought Kanye West was fucking dreadful, but I don't like the çunt anyway.

Future Islands.

Middle aged Americans in skinny jeans doing 80's style pop. Sounds wrong but works, love the singers death metal screams and ice speed skating dance moves.
