I don't know what the Radio 1 thing is and it really is only a hunch.

Why Wriggers?

Because the wife has been having a pop at me for going seeing them three times already, I live about 20 miles outside London so if theres a gig there I'm going, end of. Cue earache!

On a selfish level, I could do with it being a bit later.. My bank balance is going to have taken a Roses kickin by late June/early July

I'm with you on that one. I was hoping for an autumn start to a UK tour that would include London, and possibly in a smaller venue - Olympia would be nice, saw Primal Scream there and managed to get closer to the stage. A couple of dates would do me.

Another big gig in the summer is not what I hope for.

Lol... I'm not going to read the comments that will be made on the FB page after yet another date BEFORE Heaton Park!

LOL! Some guy was complaining that his exclusive ticket to Heaton Mark was losing value with every new announced date!!!!

Is he for real?!!! Has he not seen the press conference? Read the words "extensive world tour" on the Roses site or even the very page he LIKED? When was it ever said Heaton Park was going to be a one off?!

Where do they find these people

It's a festival, but looks like a low-key thing. The venue holds around 4,000, so it's as intimate as it gets!

Looks great from the picture

wish I could go.

Looks similar to the T on the fringe festival where a different band plays every night so this would be more like a gig than a festival. My mate saw Oasis at this venue a few years back and said it was a brilliant place for a concert.

Anyone thinking of trying for tickets for the Lyon show?
I'm very tempted, have the week off work 25th June, and they fly direct from Edinburgh.

Intimate venue would be great.

Doesn't seem that the European tour announcement is imminent so this seems like a good bet for a nice summer jaunt to Francais via manc on the way home

EDIT: Roman Amphitheatre? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient...Fourvi%C3%A8re

I'm in. Stunning setting.
now for the ticket scramble.

I had a look into it but the flights are pretty steep. Cheapest I could find from Aberdeen were around 400 return and that was before all the taxes etc had been added on. If I hadn't booked Dublin I would have probably paid that but 400 x 2 + spending money and hotel etc before Manchester and Dublin would be stretching it a bit. Looks an ace venue though, ampitheatre style

Aye, it's pricey from Aberdeen mate.
Via Amsterdam from Inverness may be a shout though, low cost airlines. get a bit o sightseeing on the way there too

I'm only doing Fri/Sat in Manc so far (and probably Sziget - been eyeing it up for a few years so good opportunity) so quite fancy this. The Scadinavian and German ones don't appeal too much, Benacaissim and Portugal are a bit on the big side and Japan outwith my budget. Reckon this one ticks all the boxes for me.

Does anyone know how much tickets are and where can be bought? The link on the Roses site doesn't seem to be working. A flight to Lyon from London Gatwick is only 80 return at the moment, so I'm giving this a thought.

According to this Italian site, the Roses will be playing in Milan on 17th July, an announcement is imminent. Looks like own gig.

How is the venue for Milan?
Arena says to me conference hall...although the Italians may be slightly more cultured than that
You been before?

EDIT - Had a gander on wikipedia, Looks nice
