Was always my favourite tune from the second coming, couldnt wait for it to come on in my headphones on the bus to school, made me think of love, a love I never had, a love I could know. Ten Story Love Song, made me think of standing on top of a tower block proclaiming my love, Ten Story Love Song, I built this thing for you, the first love song I heard that meant something, something I could try and understand. Coming from the sticks it made me think of the big smoke, Ten Story Love Song, standing on a tower built of and built for love, standing tall, shouting, Ten Story Love Song! I love you true but who could understand that if I told them. Ten Story Love Song, I built this thing for you, and one the best things is when it ends and fades into daybreak.

I recently read that Your Star Will Shine is about child abuse 'shine like the gun that's trained between your daddies eyes' - also that Where Angels Play is about Adam and Eve falling out with God.

Despite being into TSR since 1989 I still find new stuff within their music year in/year out - are there any other ones I'm missing? Until YouTube I just took Guernica as being about a painting, so much more to it though-I'm clueless on this ha ha!

Anymore I may be ignorant too?

Tense Tory Love Song ?

Hmmm - I think the reunion of the Roses will prolong Browns solo career. I love all his LPs and thought My Way was great - I reckon the Roses new stuff will be 'classic' Roses sounding and this could allow Brown to get a bit more 'out there' - maybe a Dub reggae LP? With the tickets sold, cash/respect earnt (and its taken decades to reach this point) Brown is in an amazing and unique position musically, to really push the bounderies.

Mad eh - Roses apart, the solo outputs have really smashed it as far as Im concerned and thats a near 20 year period of it from the Seahorses onwards!

‘Second Coming’ was on a hiding to nothing. For most fans the record was inevitably going to be an anti climax. For many of the true believers who had been burned by the sky high experiences of the late eighties, the record would never capture the same sort of heady euphoria that the debut almost unintentionally caught.
The Stone Roses had released a record. It was not a normal rock record but weighed down by the past they were always going to be struggling to a certain extent. The reaction was so different, this one wasn’t soundtracking the times- you couldn’t hear it pumping out of every bedsit window, it wasn’t accompanying anyone’s life, it was just a great album and one that sounds better and better over the years and is stuffed full of hidden gems.
